New to Climbing? You're in the Right Place.
You don’t need experience — just a bit of curiosity.
Bouldering is a fun, accessible style of climbing where you follow colour-coded routes up a specially designed wall. No ropes, no harness — just you, the holds, and soft matting below to catch you if you fall.
Anyone aged 5 and up can give it a go. Routes are set at different difficulty levels, so whether you’re a total beginner or feeling adventurous, there’s always something to try.
Bouldering is known as the most social form of climbing — easy to start, fun to learn, and a great way to move your body. No need for lots of gear either. Just hire a pair of climbing shoes at reception and you’re good to go. We’ve even got a gear shop if you get hooked.
Want a little guidance for your first climb? Our Intro to Bouldering course is the perfect place to start — additionally, you can add a month’s membership for just £10.
What You Need to Know Before Using our Bouldering Gym
Whether you’ve bouldered before or not, you can just turn up!
There’s no need to book unless you want to book a session with one of our instructors or coaches. You’ll need to register with us (which you can do online to save time when you arrive) and then we’ll ask you a few short safety questions or ask you to watch a bouldering safety video if you’re new to climbing.
Under 18s must have their registration form filled out by a parent or legal guardian.
You need to be over the age of 5 to use our bouldering areas, and over the age of 16 to boulder unsupervised. Adults can supervise up to 2 minors over the age of 7, or at a 1:1 ratio for under 7’s.
If you haven’t climbed before and want a little extra help getting started – don’t worry! We offer adult intro sessions and family/junior tasters, we’ll get you safely scaling our walls in no time.
