The Climbing Experience was built by climbers, for everyone.
Founded by two local climbers with a lifelong passion for the sport, our goal was simple: create a space in Kent where people of all abilities could climb, connect, and feel part of something bigger.
We believe climbing is for everyone. That’s why we’ve created a centre that’s as much about the community as it is about the climbs. Whether you’re here for your first ever session or you’ve been crushing for years, you’ll find a welcoming space where people cheer each other on, share beta, and grow together.
Our team lives and breathes climbing — and it shows. We’re here to help you feel confident, inspired, and totally at home on the wall. From first-timers to seasoned senders, we’ve got your back.
What We Do
The Climbing Experience is Kent’s largest indoor climbing centre — but we’re more than just big. We’ve got something for every climber, every age, and every stage.
Fun Wall Adventure – Our colourful, vertical playground is where many start their journey. It’s safe, exciting, and a brilliant way to discover the thrill of climbing.
Bouldering Gym – This is where the magic happens.
You’ll find:
A 30-metre comp wall
A full-on steep cave
Vertical and slab sections
Two freestanding boulders — one you’ll top-out, the other will torch your core on an overhanging arch.
We reset new problems every single week, with climbs for all levels. So whether you’re just getting the hang of footwork or pushing V-grades, there’s always a fresh challenge waiting.
Flowstone Wellbeing Studio – From recovery to mobility, our on-site studio hosts weekly yoga and Pilates sessions to help you stay balanced and strong.
Training Zone – Upstairs, you’ll find our fully equipped weights and conditioning gym — perfect for cross-training or post-session strength work.
Competitions – We run two major bouldering comps each year with strong turnout across junior and adult categories. They’re high-energy, community-driven events where local talent shares the wall with some of the UK’s best.
